I've always crafted something. Got my first crochet potholder kit for Christmas when I was 8 or so. Easy enough directions to learn, later I taught both my sisters. Also knit, counted cross stitch, sew, quilt, always ready to start something new.
Now I have Rheumatoid Arthritis-put my hand in my sleeve, and my mother's hand comes out. Machine embroidery takes a lot of that hand stressing work out of it all, and just to watch designs stitch out is still a joy. With the passing of my husband a few years ago, I find this craft gives me a great sense of satisfaction. I think he would be proud of all I have learned and accomplished.
