I love being in the embroidery "zone"

In my little room, I have an embroidery setup that I love. I can go into my room, and close the on all the noise and chaos of the outside world. I can shut out the worries of tomorrow, and my helplessness at being able to reverse my circumstances. I can do something to make me feel better, I can make gifts for my friends and neighbors.

When I am making embroidered things for the ones that are most dear to me, I become engrossed in the projects. I ignore everything but the clicking of the embroidery machine and concentrate on the beautiful picture painted in brilliantly colored threads as it emerges. It brings me peace and joy. That's why I love being in my embroidery "zone".
