the ability to create something with machine embroidery is exhilarating. You end up with a one of a kind item and knowing that you created this is a great confidence builder when it comes to doing other projects. I prefer to just embroider not really into applique that much. My very first embroidery project was to embroider a fish design on a denim jumper I was making. It was so much fun to resize the fish, turn them and then add other items around them.
