Why I like Machine Embroidery

I have always loved embroidery on clothing and furnishings. I used to be a "hand" snob. But things are different now. I no longer have hours to spend on hand stitching. Using a well digitized design and my Bernina, I am able to create lovely items to give as gifts or to use in my home.

It is hard to pick a favorite type of embroidery. Perhaps, in the hoop applique. I can change the look of them with the fabrics I choose. I like to create placemats for my mother and the other residents of her assisted living community who are being isolated due to covid-19.
