Why I love machine embroidery

I had an embroidery/sewing machine for years and never used it very much for embroidery or sewing due to work and lack of free time, that is until I retired and was asked to help make masks and scrubs during pandemic. After this had ended I restarted doing embroidery and found how much I enjoyed doing it and became addicted. Then - catastrophe - my machine died completely and suffered withdrawal symptoms (total boredom). I missed my new hobby so much that I bought a brand new Brother machine but now my addiction is worse because my machine does so much more than my 17 year old Janome did, that I now don’t have enough hours in the day. What a wonderful way I’ve found to cope with lockdown and make people happy in these trying times, just by giving a spontaneous gift made with them in mind ....... is there an Embroiderers Anonymous?
