Why I love machine embroidery

My mom sewed for herself and the family from the age of about 10. We grew up with sewing, knitting, crafting etc. In 1999 my mom bought a Bernina franchise and soon after I purchased an embroidery machine through my mom. It was fun and we could make gifts. Not realizing then that we ain’t seen anything yet. In 2003 our youngest son was born and had special needs and all my time was taken up and the machine never came out again. He is 17 now and lockdown was amazing for him as he does not like socializing. He suddenly found his own interests at home and it gave me so much spare time. I took out the machine only to find that so much of it has been discontinued and I was stuck with just the designs on the machines. Bernina then had a trade in special and I purchased a new machine and my life has not been the same since. Sooooo much new stuff. I spend all my time looking for new ideas and embroidering. I am totally in love with ITH.
