Why I love machine embroidery

I have been an embroiderer for years, mostly cross stitch and smocking by hand. I love machine embroidery because I can get professional looking results in a fraction of the time! I also appreciate that I can decide I want to make something, search the web for downloadable designs, and be creating in no time at all. Instant gratification! There are so many beautiful designs available now, something for every taste. Applique is my favorite, but I also embroider and dabble in ITH.
