Why I love embroidery...

I originally became interested in embroidery out of curiosity. I had my first granddaughter on the way and spotted a small 4x4 machine on sale during black friday 8 yrs ago. I was instantly hooked. I have continued to embroider for myself and family and for gift giving. I love the variety of designs and styles that are available. With some thread and material you can create absolutely stunning and unique gifts that are tailored to the recipient. I prefer ITH embroidery...especially snap tabs and stuffies or ITH dolls. My grandchildren love hanging the snap tabs on their backpacks and my 7 yr old granddaughter loves to sit on my lap and help me 'shop' for new designs to make for her and her brother. That in itself is the best reason to enjoy embroidering...that and the smiles on their little faces when they see a design they picked out from a picture on a computer screen come to life as something they can show off and play with.
