Why I love embroidery

I haven't been embroidering for a long time like other people have. So I feel like I do not have enough experience to make a long list of reasons why I love every type of embroidery. But I do enjoy watching the filled files come to life on my fabric with every stitch and as I change colors. I love being able to turn something ordinary into something a little bit more special with just a simple image or monogram to make it perfectly personalized.

I also love Free Standing Lace (FSL). The way you can transform a simple file into a 3D object never ceases to amaze me. It gives me the opportunity to make things as gifts without just embroidering a blanket, pillow, towel, etc.
