A Quarantine Lifesaver
When the Corona Virus first came to our attention, we stopped going out. We had food delivered and groceries, too. Netflix and hobbies helped me remain sane during a long 9 months of isolation. My friends and family don't want the embroidered towels and key fobs any more...but I discovered I can make things and give to the Children's hospital where they brighten a child's day. I make G-Tube covers of popular characters for pedi patients. And the nurses love earsavers and chapstick holders...while my daughter's store loved having COVID-Buster masks to wear when they reopened. My friend enjoyed the embroidery that told her husband's story on the memory quilt I made her...
While this can be an expensive hobby, I have been amazed by the support of my friends who have donated fabric, bought me thread, and donated Amazon gift cards so I can buy supplies and keep giving.
This single needle machine brings me satisfaction and joy while we look for ways to enjoy being retired in this pandemic lifestyle.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful project with us ❤️
Yes, machine embroidery has been a lifesaver during this year of uncertainty and change. It is a 'retreat' to go to when life feels so wrong and we cannot be with our friends and loved ones as often as we would like.
